1958 Chevy Trucks
Lonny Smith
1958 1/2 ton Tuttle, OK
The truck has been nearly completely re-done. Engine – 350 bored .030 over (out of my ’80 corvette), flat top pistons, 64 cc heads (194 intake, 160 ex), full roller rockers, comp 286 magnum cam, holley 650, Edlebrock RPM Air Gap intake, all new internals. Exterior New chrome front and back bumpers New bed Newer bed wood (Oak) New fiberglass rear fenders New master cylinder New chrome mirror Frame was sanded down and painted 7 years ago New chrome taillights Paint The color is newer VW blue with metallic flake. The interior and exterior are painted the same. This pickup looks awesome in the sunlight and the color changes a little when the sun hits it just right. Front end is still stock but completely rebuilt in 2008. Seats ate out of a 1998 Ford – headrests cut off and recovered. Everything works – everything!
Dean Italiano owns this 58 and is
trying to get it to original condition. Original 235 6 cyl. with “overdrive”
Everything stock except the wheels and tires.
Billy Gibson has just finished the rebuilt of this sweet 58.
Brad Haines
